India is a country run by emotions. Practicality in india is a far cry. We believe and follow things which others make fun of. This madness can be seen everywhere, specially in our religious beleifs. Religious fanaticism is common in India. This post is to express my views about this DARK LIGHT.
Hinduism is india's biggest religion(over 80% hindus). It is based on the Vedas & Epics like Ramayan and Mahabharat. These holy books are masterpieces. The practical thinking and values taught in the Vedas can be an eyeopener for anyone. Unfortunately Hinduism has forgotten its roots. It has imbibed impractical and unreasonable practices. Hindus are following stupid things without reasons.
Many greedy people make full use of our stupid attitude. Indian telemarketting tv ads can make you laugh. They sell lockets having devine powers at "ATTRACTIVE PRICES". They claim to give you God's Special attention. I used to laugh at those ads but i realised the seriousness of the problem when i saw many people wearing those products. It is very unfortunate. A country where thousands die of hunger, people buy such crap at high prices. The high donations given to the religious organisations which spentd them in making elegant temples and gold statues is an ironic paradox in a poor country like india.
Religion is meant to alliviate a person. Religion spreads light that eradicates the dark. But today the state of hinduism is making it a dark light.
Rather poorly compiled post. Work on spellings and grammer. Dont agree with the content as well. Doesnt make any sense. Seems more like a futile attempt to stirr up hornet's nest...
ReplyDeleteOn the flipside, i believe Hinduism is coming out of those Dark Ages better and faster than most other religions in the world. No more useless sacrifices, no more Caste system, no more Satis, no more self proclaimed Gods (thugs), people are smarter, far more open minded...nd so on. Girls are doing fine too. I mean...wats wrong ?? People wearing Lockets nd Pendants doesnt sound too bad to me....
ReplyDeleteYour " Dark Light" ( watever it was !) concept might appeal to some of the eternal pessimists found in certain sections of our society, whose sole purpose in life is to whine nd cry about absurdly irrelevan stuff. . . . But this coming from my younger brother Annoys and Upsets me no end !! . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
