Religion, music, trance

Hello everyone.... i dont know why i have come up with this post. Maybe b'coz my father loves meditation and sri sri ravishankar and i always try to come up with reasons to prove him wrong. Or maybe b'coz i love reading human mind or maybe my respect towards the magic of religion.

This post is basicallty about my take on spirituality. The ideas are not a part of any Hindu writing or belief, they are completely and solely my brainchild.

As we all know, our brain is a constantly working machine. It works even when we sleep. The immense pressure that we impose on our poor organ makes it eager to devise ways to rest. As a result we seek methods of reaching brainlessness or trance.

Trance is a wonderful state and all religions and their practices revolve around attaining trance. Devotion, sacrifices, music and meditation are the most common religious tools to attain the great state of brainlessness.

But today in ritual league, i wont talk about other religions, i will try to put my view about the Hindu ways of reaching trance. According to me, Hinduism has mastered all trance-gaining techniques. I was trying to understand Hinduism for quite some time and came up with the following observations.

There are three main Hindu techniques for trance.

1.The Shiva technique: Shiva is God of destruction. His trance attaining technique is very strange. Most religions dont support the use of intoxicants and narcotics, but Shiva is perhaps the only god who supports the use of drugs for reaching trance. The famous hippie culture is an extension of the shiva technique.

2.The Brahma technique: Brahma is the God of knowledge and creation. His technique is very similar to the technique of most other religions ie Knowledge and meditation. This technique is all about knowing that we are not supposed to take any tension. The trance gained through knowledge and meditation might appear too mild to most but has tremendous effects. A man with spiritual knowledge always remains in a state of trance.

3.The Vishnu technique: This technique is my favorite. Vishnu , god of life, is perhaps the most famous among Hindus. His technique is all about having fun. Music, games, devotion and dance is his way of reaching that surreal state. India loves vishnu and his path. India celebrates, sings, plays, eats and enjoys life with whatever resources it has.

All these techniques are very well devised and helps us live a more enjoyable life. They give our brain a chance to breathe, relax and become more efficient. Hindus have an option of choosing their God and their God define them. Choose your God today and have fun in life.
